About Me

"It's been so long, so long upon the sand, oh so long upon the sands, oh so long upon the floods."

An Irish man who's been away from home for what seems like a very very long time. I moved to Scotland in 2007 to do a degree in Psychology @ University of Aberdeen. I'm now doing a MSc in Psychological Studies @ University of Glasgow. But I have so many more years of study after this. The aim is to be a Clinical Psychologist but that's a long way away yet!

I love to bake. I bake all the time. A few months ago, I started uploading photos to facebook and people seemed quite impressed. I didn't really understand why because baking always seems so straightforward to me. So in November 2011, I decided I would try out this blog thing. I didn't start uploading till January 2012 but it seems to be going pretty well so far! I could do with a new camera though..

When I'm not studying or baking, I'm generally drunk. Nah, that's a lie (Kind of). I do quite a lot in my spare time. My most prominent hobby is that I trampoline. I started in 2007 and it took me awhile but eventually I got the hang of it. I started competing at University and started winning medals! It's strange how competitive winning a medal can make you! So I still trampoline now and compete when I can, I'm not very good but I'm working on it! Other than that, I read a lot, I do some volunteering, hang out with friends, the usual stuff!

Oh, and I sing all the time, I'm completely flat so it's not very pretty to listen to. Doesn't stop me belting it out though ;) I also play piano from time to time.

  1. Hello there! Coming here from Foodbuzz. Saw that you're from Glasgow and had to come over and leave a comment. My brother lives in Glasgow and is a psychiatrist! So, I couldn't help saying Hey! even if it sounds lame :) And butter is most certainly not a carb in my nutrition book because it is categorized under 'divine ingredients' in mine :D

  4. Hello,

I'm so happy to have found some fellow UK bloggers... I'm from up North, but not quite Scotland, although I've only been here 3 years. Sadly, I'm a Brummie girl... Cue the accent piss-takes...!!
I like your blog a lot - it's nice to see some hearty, down-to-earth blogging.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Moo x
